Anyone know if the 2009 F150 has cabin Air Filters?
Was blown away when I changed my wife's cabin air filter. It was covered with mold and meldew. Almost 75%. I was wondering why she had a cranky disposition and a never ending runy nose. Car had only 27k miles. Found out the dealer recommends change out every 15k. Firestone quoted me $59. I bought it at Checkers Auto for $17 and changed it in 15minutes.
If you got a cabin filter put it on your daddy-do garage duty checklist with an extra 12pack for labor costs.
The filter was so nasty I called the FoMoCo dealer to check out if I had a filter on my truck and got mixed responses ranging from "i dunno", "nope" and then ending up with a final and definite "Yes! it is located behind the Glove Box". (hint- i think the bastards lied like a rug!)
So I removed the glove box and discovered the welds on the body framing but no rectangle shaped access cover looking anything like a filter cover. There is a huge ass HVAC/Blower system stuffed in there.
Anyone know if we got cabin air filters in our 2009 4.6L SuperCab F150trucks?
